Make Your Mark in the World
If you're a creative person, then you know there's nothing better than being in a room filled with a bunch of creatives. It's euphoric being around individuals that are filled with bright energy and passion. This past weekend I got to experience that exact moment. My friend Aleksandra Gosiewski hosted an event calling all artists to hang out and share their work at Seven Grams Caffe. Her event was titled exceptionally well!
It was super convenient and was perfect to share good vibes with all. Aleks is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology and connected not only people from different majors, but artistic fields and schools. A NYU girl serenaded us away as a guy filled the room with his acoustic guitar. Ashley Rose had jewlery featured along the table top right next to artists work.
In a way to unite everyone, Aleks laid out two canvases and multiple sharpies of varying colors for the guests to use at will. The canvases one blank, gradually filled with doodles and inspiration from all.
The event got me thinking: when was the last time I was creative? Have you found yourself needing to let your creative juices flow? This definitely made me reflect on my abilities and where I allocate my time.
