Street Style SS16 : Metallic Shoes

A new trend I've spotted that both men and women are wearing is metallic dress shoes. They tend to be more popular in a polished oxford style. Thought I have seen them in loafers and sneakers. What first peaked my interested is how many men and women were wearing them. Within the span of a few hours i saw different finished and colors. Maybe it had something to do with being in an Italian airport, I don't know, but it continued.

Some finishes were dark and brassy, others were smoother and had a tint of mauve. When I finally settled in after travelling, my sightings continued at various stores. They didn't have quite the selection but there was a silver python printed loafer, oxfords with a gunmetal finish and rose gold platform sneakers. 

Oxfords are the classic and polished which can elevate any casual look. The fact that the same finish is so versatile and has garnered attention in both men and women has me really excited to see what people come up with.
