Transitional Trend: Dress & T-Shirts

On the Lookout: Dress & T-Shirts

Once again a new trend has slowly snuck up on the streets of NY. It was subtle at first, i almost didn’t see it for a moment there. Yet all around, women have taken another trend from the 90’s and are layering thin t-shirts underneath a dress. Preferably with a thin spaghetti strap.

This look is not exclusively for those fond of dresses. You can easily pair your staple t-shirt with a flowy tank or loose camisole.

Key themes of this trend provide a laid back, edgy, and slightly feminine  appeal. So take that slip that you wore last year underneath a slouchy sweater and pair it up with this re-newed twist. Who know’s what look we’ll see next from our beloved 90’s fashion. We’ve brought back the chokers and platformed sneakers..do you think you know what we’re to see next?!

Can we take a moment to appreciate Alicia Silverstone, Drew Barrymore and Julie Delpy’s 90’s look right now? We can also see where the inspiration came from for this new trend. What better way to welcome the crisp air of fall? If you’re not ready to say good-bye to that shift dress you just bought, now you don’t have to!
